Legend
Once upon a time in the heavenly kingdom, God arranged a grand celebration and invited many demigods. Everyone sang and danced for the divine being. But two demigods, a young man and a young woman, who had never seen each other before, were out of sync with the general rhythm of the dance. This was because they fell in love with each other and could not control their bodies because of the excitement that overwhelmed them. The Great God noticed this and became angry with them. He considered it an insult to himself and as punishment cursed the young man and the young woman to eternal exile from the heavenly kingdom in the bodiless form of ghosts. In this state they could not embrace each other, could not eat or drink anything. So they wandered through the snowy mountain slopes.Once again, suffering from hunger and thirst, they struggled with the cold that pierced their bodies, regretting their sinful thoughts. The snow intensified, and even shelter in a cave did not help, because of this they could not sleep. It so happened that this time fell on the Bhaimi Ekadashi fast. The ghosts unknowingly observed this sacred Ekadashi and as a reward other gods took pity on them and returned their bodies.
Benefits
From a spiritual point of view, those who observe Bhaimi Ekadashi will never be born as ghosts. From a physiological point of view, the benefit of conducting Bhaimi Ekadashi day is as follows: in the digestive tract under the influence of hunger a vacuum is formed, counteracting the lunar attraction, and when exiting the fast on the following day a powerful removal of toxins from the body occurs.
