Followers of Ayurveda claim that three main doshas are present in every person in varying amounts, determining his or her physiological and psycho-emotional state. At the same time, in case of their imbalance, the development of some kind of disease is most often observed. If a person, using a special dosha test, reveals a predominance of Kapha Vata or Vata Kapha dosha, he or she will be prescribed a certain lifestyle and diet to maintain health.
Description
Vata Kapha people are characterized by a general state of passivity and laziness, since due to low Pitta they lack energy, enthusiasm, and motivation. They adapt perfectly to the requests of others, wanting to be left alone faster. Their emotional instability makes them easily frightened and worried, and they are also easily susceptible to emotional dependence. Sensuality, shyness, and quick adaptability to the surrounding conditions are their positive qualities. Also, such people are very creative, artistic and have a wonderful imagination. These people are distinguished by their friendliness, caring and talkativeness, and some of them can show themselves as leaders, for example, event organizers.
Nutrition
- in cases of manifestations of signs of Vata (nervousness, insomnia) increase the amount of warm, well-oiled food;
- in cases of manifestations of signs of Kapha (weight gain, laziness, apathy) completely exclude products that increase it: floury, sweet, fatty;
- the menu should also be dominated by mainly seasonal fruits and vegetables, the latter are preferably baked with spices;
- avoid cold drinks with ice. By adhering to these rules, it is possible to correct (prevent the increase) of the predominant doshas, while gradually activating the missing Pitta.
Diet
The main rule of the Vata Kapha diet is to not overeat, but to choose warm, fresh and light food.
Therefore, the most frequently used useful products should include:
- spices (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and others);
- all types of cabbage;
- legumes (mung dal, tofu);
- greens;
- fruits (citrus fruits, apples, peaches);
- berries;
- whole grain cereals (rice, barley, rye, lentils);
- herbal teas;
- oils;
- dairy products (fresh milk with spices).
It is not allowed to consume:
- eggs;
- meat and fish products;
- coffee;
- alcohol;
- nightshades.
Lifestyle
Since such a person has a suppressed fiery element (Pitta), the main recommendations for the Vata Kapha lifestyle are related to the activation of this type of dosha. To do this, it is recommended to add the following to your lifestyle:
- increase, but cautiously consume spicy spices;
- add warmth - take a bath or sauna more often;
- build emotional relationships with loved ones;
- enrich life with active movements, for example, yoga ;
- conduct massage or self-massage with various oils. Creating a balance of doshas for a person who has a predominance of both Vata and Kapha is a rather difficult task, since lowering one increases the other. Therefore, both in lifestyle and in nutrition, everything should be introduced gradually and the reaction to innovations should be carefully monitored.
